Hexagonal Bathroom Tiles

Bathroom renovations are one of the most popular home improvements in today’s market. You have to know that a bathroom must not only be stylish and up-to-date, but it must also be highly functional. Bathroom is the most common place in every house so its look and practicality are doubly important. A non-slip tile is highly practical today for a family bathroom. Unglazed hexagonal tile or porcelain squares are slip-proof and easy to mop with bleach. Avoid using highly glazed tiles on bathroom floors.

The glazed hexagon mosaic tiles for the floors in those days were hard to find. They only used to get salvaged tiles which are still in good condition. The appearances of the salvaged tiles are totally different. The grouts between the hexagonal tiles are very difficult to clean.

Applications:
All tiles are hard, but some of them are actually harder than others. So, finding a tile for your home is not a difficult task, but make sure whether it’s the right one for your floor. Entrances need a hard, abrasion-resistant, moisture-proof tile. Bathrooms require a moisture-proof non-slip material. Slip-resistant tile is treated with an abrasive material to “rough up” the smooth surface for safety. Some tiles are rated for indoor or outdoor use only and others can be used in either application.

Size:
Mosaics tiles, whether glazed or unglazed measure 2 inches in square. Though, they don’t necessarily have to be square. Some of them, in fact, are hexagonal in shape and others are rectangles. They are usually 1/2″ to 3/4″ thick, manufactured in squares measuring 4″x4″ up to 24″x 24″. More commonly black accents created a pattern or a border in the hexagon mosaic tile floors.
